Andrew Wichterman, LPC

Dr. Wichterman has nearly 11 years of experience working in both home-based and outpatient settings with men, young adults, adolescents, and children.  He is passionate about partnering with clients who  struggle with poor relationships, behavioral issues, emotional difficulties, and concerns over Christian faith and spirituality. Dr. Wichterman has training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and in Christian Counseling where one’s faith replaces the secular and humanistic theoretical underpinnings as the foundation from which treatment is approached.

Dr. Wichterman believes that young adults, adolescents, and children are misunderstood and over diagnosed. Too many times professionals attempt to medicate negative behaviors instead of considering systemic and trauma related causes. He loves partnering with clients to deal with these underlying struggles, avoid medication, and find long term relief from symptoms.
