Kizombo is currently a 5th-year health psychology PhD candidate at North Central University. His research interests include refugee mental health, the intersection of spirituality and health, spirituality and stress management, and critical incident stress management. He has worked extensively with individuals, couples, and families struggling with chemical dependence. He provides premarital and marriage enrichment counseling. He is a member of the International Critical Incidence Stress Foundation and the Michigan Crisis Response Association.
