Partnerships at CPC
At Centennial Park, collaboration is central to our mission.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
We are proud to partner with Dr. Karen Leavitt, a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with approximately 15 years of experience in psychiatry. She is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, Florida, and Montana.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Leavitt has worked in a wide range of mental health settings, deepening her practical understanding of how to best support children and adolescents. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed her adult psychiatry residency at Loyola University Medical Center, followed by a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, both in Chicago. During her training, she served as both Chief Resident and Chief Fellow.
Most recently, Dr. Leavitt worked at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she served as Chief of Pediatric Services for Hospital and Residential Programs from 2021 through 2025. She has also worked extensively in adolescent partial hospitalization programs, including eating disorder–focused PHPs, an area of particular clinical interest.
Through years of clinical experience, Dr. Leavitt has come to understand that children function within systems rather than in isolation. As a result, she places strong clinical value on understanding and validating a child’s perspective while intentionally involving families in the treatment process. She believes parents play a vital role in a child’s care and that it is possible to include them thoughtfully while respecting the unique and essential nature of the therapeutic relationship.
On a personal note, Dr. Leavitt grew up in Orlando, Florida (yes—she spent plenty of time at Disney), and now resides in Caledonia, Michigan. She enjoys spending time with her family and chickens, reading, knitting, and traveling, with a particular love for exploring national parks. She is a practicing Catholic and firmly believes that each person is perfectly and wonderfully made, just as they are.
She accepts the following insurance: BCBS (In-person ONLY), Aetna, Cigna, and Allegiance, Priority Health (pending), Self-Pay

The Faith Filled Dietitian
At Centennial Park Counseling, we believe in caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with The Faith Filled Dietitian, a Registered Dietitian and Health Coach who brings a Christ-centered, grace-filled approach to food and nutrition. Her mission aligns beautifully with our own: to help individuals find healing, freedom, and renewal in every area of life—including their relationship with food.
Many of our clients have experienced the emotional toll of dieting, body image struggles, and food-related shame. Our partnership with The Faith Filled Dietitian allows us to extend compassionate, evidence-based support in this area from someone who understands both the science of nutrition and the spiritual importance of honoring our bodies. Her approach is not about rigid food rules or quick fixes—it’s about breaking free from the diet cycle, understanding how God designed us to eat, and learning to nourish our bodies in a sustainable, joyful way. Together, we hope to provide a more complete path to healing and lasting transformation.
