Heather is a Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) with over ten years of experience in the mental health field. Heather earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and has extensive experience working with children and adolescents on a variety of presenting issues including (but not limited to):
- Stress/Adjustment difficulties
- Self-harm behaviors
- Suicidal thoughts
- Behavior problems
- Identity Concerns
Heather has also worked extensively with testing and school issues with children and adolescents. Her therapeutic approach includes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Heather believes that clients have the potential to turn the page and write the next chapter in their lives. She works collaboratively with clients to help provide tools to help them do just that, and prepare them for a future where their potential is recognized.
